Phase 1 of the Return to the Usual Workplace Plan
While 95% of MTI employees continue to work from home successfully, in line with MTI’s Business Continuity Plan, the Covid-19 Working Group his introduced Phase 1 of the Return to the Usual Workplace Plan. Phase 1 runs from 18th May to 30th June 2020 across the UK, France and Germany.
The instruction remains to work from home where possible, and restrictions on unnecessary travel remain in place. At the same time, MTI is preparing to support more employees to return to working on MTI and customer sites.
The approach is based on risk assessments, by individual, site, and activity. These assessments ensure that MTI has minimised the risk of infection to employees, customers, suppliers and the community. Where visits to third party sites are necessary to undertake work, the site, the activity and the individual are all risk assessed to minimise risk.
Covid Secure Offices
In the UK MTI has committed to only opening office locations once these can be certified as Covid Secure. This has already been achieved by the European Operations Centre (EOC) in Godalming, Surrey. We expect our office in West Sussex to be ready by the beginning of June and our central London office, by the beginning of July.
Our offices in France and Germany have already achieved the relevant local public health requirements to support those employees who need to work safely from an MTI office.
MTI will continue to apply restrictions on international business travel, gatherings of more than two individuals, visits from third-party suppliers, and other steps to minimise the risk of infection. MTI provides regular updates to all members of the workforce reminding them of the hygiene and safe distancing obligations.
Customer Service levels retained
MTI is pleased to confirm that throughout the last three months, and in particular following the activation of the Business Continuity Plan, MTI has continued to offer a full service to customers without degradation. The management of the changing situation by the working group, through detailed reporting tied to a comprehensive risk register, means that MTI is confident that this will continue in the weeks and months ahead.
