To deliver the MTI Care managed service for virtualisation, MTI utilises a number of advanced tools:
Unified Monitoring Portal
MTI utilises an intuitive, Web-based way to interact with the core Monitoring Solution: the Unified Monitoring Portal, a Web 2.0 rich Internet application. The Unified Monitoring Portal combines the comprehensive administration strengths of the enterprise console and the flexible dashboard and multi-tenant capabilities of the Service Delivery Portal—offering our experts the most scalable and flexible way to work with NMS. Unified Monitoring Portal is a direct result of extensive customer interviews and usage investigations and is a natural evolutionary step for the Monitoring Solution (NMS).
Service Delivery Portal
The Service Delivery Portal (SDP) is an online, browser-based portal that provides MTI with comprehensive, intuitive, and real-time views of the monitored infrastructure. SDP delivers an array of out-of-the-box dashboards, capacity and performance reports, and service-level agreement reports—and it offers easy-to-use capabilities for developing and customizing reports. SDP offers multi-tenant capabilities that make it fast, efficient, and secure for MTI to share real-time, online monitoring views with clients.
Unified Reporter
Unified Reporter provides the robust reporting capabilities MTI needs to fully leverage all of the monitoring data generated by NMS. Unified Reporter features 75 preconfigured reports, enabling users to quickly and easily leverage a range of views and offline reports into monitored infrastructures. In addition, Unified Reporter features iReport, an advanced report design solution that enables MTI to create professional reports in a range of layouts and formats; tailor reports to various geographies, users, and groups and output reports in a range of formats, including HTML, PDF, XLS, and more.
SLA Reports
NMS enables MTI to track operations and business service levels against SLA metrics, and forecast violations prior to an SLA breach. NMS provides a graphical interface for defining SLA parameters—including compliance period, operating period, exclude periods, compliance percentage, compliance calculation methods, and much more. NMS offers an array of out-of-the-box mathematical formulae that can be mixed and matched in order to suit business-unique SLA compliance calculations.
